AgriTerra vs Regrid

Regrid is a parcel-data platform. It sells raw parcel geometry and ownership records to developers, GIS teams, and enterprises through an API, tiles, bulk downloads, and an Esri feature service, plus a free Property App on top. AgriTerra is a land-decision report for landowners. It reads soil, water, flood, wetlands, and modeled solar and wind income for one parcel, then compares farm, rent, conservation, and lease side by side in dollars per acre. Two different jobs, and this page is honest about which one you actually have.

Compared as of September 2026. Every Regrid fact here was checked against regrid.com. Regrid is a product of its owner and named here only to compare it; AgriTerra is not affiliated with it.

What Regrid does well

Regrid built its reputation on distributing parcel data at nationwide scale. Its site claims 100% U.S. parcel coverage plus coverage across 22 countries, and it packages that data every way an engineer or GIS team would want it. If your job needs the raw geometry, or ownership records at scale, Regrid is a serious tool and it is fair to say so.

Around the data itself it ships a full delivery menu: a Parcel API, vector tiles, an Esri Feature Service, bulk files in CSV, FileGDB, GeoJSON, GeoPackage, Shapefile, SQL, and Parquet, a self-serve Data Store where you buy by county or state, and, more recently, an MCP server so a large language model client can query parcels directly. There is also a free Property App on top of the same data.

  • A national Parcel API for developers building on top of parcel geometry.
  • Bulk files in every common GIS format, sold as a self-serve Data Store by county or state.
  • An Esri feature service for teams whose stack is already ArcGIS.
  • A free Property App and, more recently, an MCP server for LLM clients.

Where AgriTerra is different

AgriTerra is not trying to distribute parcel data. It answers a specific landowner question: for one parcel, what are the real options, and what does each one earn. Four differences matter most.

It compares four land uses in dollars per acre on the same parcel. Row crop income, cash rent, conservation (CRP), and a solar or wind lease, side by side for your field. That trade-off, "farm it, rent it, conserve it, or lease it," is the decision a landowner actually faces, and it is what AgriTerra is built around.

Every figure carries its source. AgriTerra draws on six federal datasets (USDA NASS, USDA NRCS SSURGO, NREL, FEMA, USGS, and USFWS) and shows the agency and the vintage on each number, so you can trace exactly where a figure came from and when.

It reads flood and wetlands per parcel. FEMA flood zones and the USFWS National Wetlands Inventory are part of the standard read, drawn on the map alongside soil and revenue, so drainage and flood risk are in the same picture as income.

You can buy one report without a subscription. The $89 Decision Report is a one-time full PDF for a single parcel, with no subscription or enterprise contract required. There is a free parcel read to start, and optional Land Scout plans from $39 a month if you want more.

Who should pick which

Pick Regrid if

  • You are building software on top of nationwide parcel geometry.
  • You need bulk files or an API by county, state, or country.
  • Your stack is ArcGIS or your workflow is data engineering, not a landowner read.

Pick AgriTerra if

  • You own or are buying one parcel and want to know what to do with it.
  • You want farm, rent, conserve, and lease income compared in dollars per acre.
  • You want the agency and vintage on every figure, and a report without a subscription.

Plenty of people will be better served by Regrid, and that is fine. If the job is delivering parcel data at scale, start there. If the job is deciding what a specific parcel should become, that is what AgriTerra is for.

AgriTerra vs Regrid: common questions

Is AgriTerra a Regrid alternative?
For some jobs, yes; for others, no. If you want a plain-language read of one parcel and a comparison of what it could earn as row crop, cash rent, conservation, or a solar or wind lease, AgriTerra is built for that. If you need to embed nationwide parcel geometry into your own software, or buy bulk parcel files, Regrid is built for that and AgriTerra does not sell an API or bulk data.
Does AgriTerra offer a parcel API like Regrid?
No. AgriTerra runs a free browser read on any U.S. parcel and sells an $89 one-time Decision Report as a PDF, but it does not sell parcel geometry, ownership records, an API, or bulk downloads. If those are the primary need, Regrid is the better fit.
How much does AgriTerra cost compared to Regrid?
AgriTerra has a free parcel read, an $89 one-time Decision Report with no subscription required, and optional Land Scout plans from $39 a month. Regrid does not publish product pricing; every product routes to enterprise sales, so a fair price comparison is not possible from the public site. Contact regrid.com for a quote if you need one.
