AgriTerra vs LandGlide
LandGlide is a mobile app built around one thing: GPS on the property line. You stand on your land, open the app, and your dot is on your parcel with the owner name and acreage right there. AgriTerra is a land-decision report for the same parcel. It reads soil, water, flood, wetlands, and modeled solar and wind income for exactly those acres, and compares farm, rent, conservation, and lease side by side in dollars per acre. Two different jobs, and most landowners eventually want both.
Compared as of September 2026. Every LandGlide fact here was checked against landglide.com. LandGlide is a product of its owner and named here only to compare it; AgriTerra is not affiliated with it.
What LandGlide does well
LandGlide built its reputation on one specific moment: the GPS dot lands on your parcel while you are standing on it. Its site claims 157M+ parcel records across 3,200+ counties and coverage of more than 99% of the U.S. population, and the app works offline, so a walk in the woods with no signal still shows the line.
Around that core product it packages the practical field-tools a farm walk actually needs: owner name and mailing address, acreage, sale price and transfer date, notes and favorites you can tag on parcels, export, and cross-device sync so a note you made in the truck shows up on the desktop later.
- GPS on the property line, in the field, offline.
- Owner name, mailing address, acreage, and sale/transfer records.
- Notes and favorites tagged to parcels, with cross-device sync.
- 7-day trial, then $9.99 a month, or an annual plan just under $100, for continued use.
Where AgriTerra is different
AgriTerra is not trying to be a field GPS. It answers a different question: for one parcel, what are the real options, and what does each one earn. Four differences matter most.
It compares four land uses in dollars per acre on the same parcel. Row crop income, cash rent, conservation (CRP), and a solar or wind lease, side by side for your field. That trade-off, "farm it, rent it, conserve it, or lease it," is the decision a landowner actually faces, and it is what AgriTerra is built around rather than a field-locator.
Every figure carries its source. AgriTerra draws on six federal datasets (USDA NASS, USDA NRCS SSURGO, NREL, FEMA, USGS, and USFWS) and shows the agency and the vintage on each number, so you can trace exactly where a figure came from and when.
It reads soil, flood, wetlands, and modeled energy income per parcel. The SSURGO productivity index, FEMA flood zones, the USFWS National Wetlands Inventory, and NREL-modeled solar and wind bands are drawn on the map for exactly the acres you outline. That is a different layer stack from a GPS-on-the-line app.
You can buy one report without a subscription. The $89 Decision Report is a one-time full PDF for a single parcel, no subscription required. There is a free parcel read to start, and optional Land Scout plans from $39 a month if you want more, but you are never forced into a recurring plan to get one answer.

Who should pick which
Pick LandGlide if
- You are walking a parcel and want a GPS dot on your line, offline.
- You want owner name, sale history, and acreage tagged on parcels you save.
- You want a field notebook that syncs to your desktop.
Pick AgriTerra if
- You own or are buying one parcel and want to know what it should become.
- You want farm, rent, conserve, and lease income compared in dollars per acre.
- You want the agency and vintage on every figure, and a report without a subscription.
For landowners in the field, LandGlide and AgriTerra are complementary. LandGlide answers "where is my line right now?" AgriTerra answers "what does that land earn under each real option, and why?"
AgriTerra vs LandGlide: common questions
- Is AgriTerra a LandGlide alternative?
- For most jobs the two are complementary rather than head-to-head. If your question is "where is my property line while I am standing here," LandGlide is the tool built for that moment. If your question is "what is this parcel really worth to farm, rent, conserve, or lease," AgriTerra is built for that. AgriTerra does not offer a field-GPS on the line today; it is on the Ohio and Indiana roadmap.
- Does AgriTerra show owner names like LandGlide?
- No. AgriTerra reads parcel geometry, soil, water, and revenue signals per parcel, but it does not surface owner names or mailing addresses. If owner records are the main need, LandGlide is the better fit.
- How much does AgriTerra cost compared to LandGlide?
- AgriTerra has a free parcel read and an $89 one-time Decision Report with no subscription required, plus optional Land Scout plans from $39 a month. LandGlide is a 7-day trial then $9.99 a month, or an annual plan just under $100, for continued use. Very different pricing shapes: a one-time report versus a monthly subscription.
